Linen maker
The linen maid looks after all the family’s linen. He/she manages everyone’s clothes and wardrobe, as well as Madame’s dresses and Monsieur’s suits.
He/she must be highly skilled in ironing and washing clothes, and is sometimes called upon to do alterations on all types of garments.
He/she is responsible for all household linen (bed linen, towels, tablecloths and housekeeping uniforms).
He/she is also responsible for organizing closets and chests of drawers.
